Visit Toli Pir, the highest hilltop in the Rawalakot area, in a single day. The trip starts very early from Rawalpindi and Islamabad and drives through Kahuta and Azad Pattan to Rawalakot, before climbing to open grasslands with views over Bagh, Abbaspur and the Poonch River.
This is a long day with a lot of mountain driving, so it suits travelers who enjoy road trips and an early start.
Day-by-day itinerary
1Rawalpindi/Islamabad → Rawalakot → Toli Pir → Return▼
Depart around 4:00 to 5:00 am and drive via Kahuta and Azad Pattan to Rawalakot (about 3.5 hours). Continue up the mountain road to Toli Pir and enjoy the grasslands, views and photos. Have lunch or tea, then start the drive back and arrive in Rawalpindi and Islamabad late in the evening.
